About Arizona Family Cabins
Two extraordinary cabins in the Arizona White Mountains — built for the gatherings that matter most.
Our Story
Growing up, Shiloh's mother always talked about how wonderful it would be if they could have a cabin someday. Shiloh grew up in the 80s watching movies like The Great Outdoors and decided it would be amazing to one day have a cabin the whole family could visit and build memories in together. Thirty years later, that dream came true — Shiloh partnered with a few close friends to purchase two large cabins perfect for family gatherings and building great family memories.
With the help of some amazing friends, we operate two 7-bedroom cabins in Lakeside, Arizona, both located just west of Rainbow Lake in the heart of the White Mountains. Parkway Lodge sleeps up to 27 guests, and the Mohave Cabin with a Treehouse sleeps up to 33. Together they can host groups of up to 60 people, and the two properties are only about a mile apart. Both sit on a half-acre of land where kids can play and run around, with plenty to do outdoors.
Lakeside sits at roughly 7,000 feet elevation, which means cool summers (highs in the low 80s), ponderosa-pine forests, crisp evenings, and a sky full of stars that you simply don't see from the city. Rainbow Lake — a 60-acre stocked trout lake — is less than a mile from both cabins. It's the kind of place you drive to once and then spend years finding reasons to come back.
What We Believe
Everyone Under One Roof
Finding a cabin that genuinely fits 20, 27, or 33 people is rare. We designed our cabins around the idea that no one in your group should have to sleep somewhere else.
Direct Booking, Real People
When you book with us you talk to a real person who knows these cabins. No platform fees, no bots, no mysteries. Just straightforward hospitality.
The White Mountains Deserve More Visitors
If you're from Arizona and haven't been to the White Mountains yet, you're missing out. They're cooler, quieter, and more relaxing than the city, and within an easy drive of Phoenix and Tucson. It's a beautiful place in the pines to escape the heat in summer and play in the snow come winter.
The Location
Lakeside is part of the Pinetop-Lakeside community, perched on the Mogollon Rim above the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. The area is threaded with hiking trails, forest roads, and small mountain lakes. Nearby highlights include:

- Mogollon Rim Overlooks — sweeping views above 7,500 feet
- Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest — hundreds of miles of trails and forest roads
