About Arizona Family Cabins
Two extraordinary cabins in the Arizona White Mountains — built for the gatherings that matter most.
Our Story
Arizona Family Cabins was born from a simple conviction: families and large groups deserve a place in the mountains where everyone — truly everyone — can stay under one roof. Not split across three different Airbnbs. Not crammed into a cabin rated for half your group. One property. One kitchen. One set of memories.
We operate two 7-bedroom cabins in Lakeside, Arizona, both located just west of Rainbow Lake in the heart of the White Mountains. Parkway Lodge sleeps up to 27 guests; Mohave Cabin with Treehouse sleeps up to 33. Together they can host groups of up to 60 people on adjacent properties.
Lakeside sits at roughly 7,000 feet elevation, which means cool summers (highs in the low 80s), ponderosa-pine forests, crisp evenings, and a sky full of stars that you simply don't see from the city. Rainbow Lake — a 60-acre stocked trout lake — is steps from both cabins. It's the kind of place you drive to once and then spend years finding reasons to come back.
What We Believe
Everyone Under One Roof
Finding a cabin that genuinely fits 20, 27, or 33 people is rare. We built our rentals around that need so no one in your group has to sleep somewhere else.
Direct Booking, Real People
When you book with us you talk to a real person who knows these cabins. No platform fees, no bots, no mysteries. Just straightforward hospitality.
The White Mountains Deserve More Visitors
Most Arizonans head to Sedona or Scottsdale. The White Mountains are wilder, cooler, quieter, and within an easy drive of Phoenix and Tucson. We want to share that.
The Location
Lakeside is part of the Pinetop-Lakeside community, perched on the Mogollon Rim above the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. The area is threaded with hiking trails, forest roads, and small mountain lakes. Nearby highlights include:
- Rainbow Lake — 60 acres of stocked trout, steps from both cabins
- Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area — swimming, camping, paddling
- Mogollon Rim Overlooks — sweeping views above 7,500 feet
- Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest — hundreds of miles of trails and forest roads
- Show Low — 10 minutes away for groceries, restaurants, and services
Drive times: ~3.5 hours from Phoenix via US-60 through Globe and Show Low; ~3 hours from Tucson via AZ-77 through Globe.
